At Mosaic, we believe that one of the greatest opportunities for disciple making is among our students. We believe that God has called parents to be the primary disciple makers in their home and we want to come alongside parents as they raise their students to become disciples of Jesus. Our student ministry is for all youth in 6th-12th grades.
Each week when we gather, we want to think strategically about how to create an environment where our children are discipled in the way of Jesus. In each ministry environment, we teach from the Scriptures and help parents proclaim to the next generation who God is and what He has done. Our children, and the children in our city, are not just little minds to keep entertained while the adults worship, but they are current or potential disciples of Jesus.
In light of this, we actively encourage families, at the first moment that children are able, to include their children in the corporate worship of the body as it gathers weekly.
In these ministries, we focus on weekly lessons that go through the Biblical narrative and connect to one of our four foundational truths (God is Good, Great, Glorious, and Gracious).

In this ministry, we focus on the nature and character of God, as well as building upon Bible literacy skills.
Mosaic Kids Kinder/1st Grade: Full Service Programming
Mosaic Kids 2nd - 5th Grade: Mid-Service Programming*
*We have mid-service programming for 2nd-5th graders as they sit in on the Sunday gathering with adults for the first portion of it. They are dismissed after our Children’s Moment before the sermon. Kinder and 1st graders have the option of attending Mosaic Kids for the full service or participating in mid-service programming.

Children’s Ministry volunteers at Mosaic are required to undergo Ministry Safe training, screening, “on the job” training, and background checks.
We believe that all children are created in the image of God and desire for the Church gathered and scattered to be a place where kids, regardless of ability, are safe, loved, and pointed to Jesus. We want our students to participate in our Sunday worship gathering. Our Sunday gatherings are for the whole family, and students are encouraged to worship alongside their parents. We want our students to feel welcomed and part of our worship gatherings.
Each fall we have a number of programs for our students. We start off August with a promotion weekend to welcome incoming students. Our main gathering for students is our semester Bible studies which follows our adult Bible studies, so families can grow together. Along with Bible study, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday night of the month for games, catechism, and small groups. Every year we conclude the fall with a Milestone Weekend to celebrate those turning 13, 16 and 18 years old.
Over the course of the holidays we have local service opportunities, Christmas parties and movie nights, family fiction reading groups, and a class on emotion health and spirituality that we call Passage.
Each Spring we have a number of programs for our students. We start off the new semester with Sunday morning Bible studies. This is our main program for students during the school semesters, and they fall in line with our adult Bible studies so families can grow together. Along with our Sunday morning gatherings, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday night of each month for games, catechism, and small groups. Each may we offer a class for students on church membership, baptism, and communion, to prepare students for baptism and life in the church. We conclude the spring with Help Your Neighbor Day, where our students serve those in the wider community.
Summer is a busy time for Mosaic Students. We meet a few different times of the week for discipleship groups, gym nights, and a class that takes students into a deeper dive of the beliefs and basics of the Christian faith. The summer ends with a trip either to a local camp or opportunity to serve on a missions trip.

Groups are gatherings of 3-4 people of the same gender who are seeking to grow in the Christian life together. Check here for more information.
Women’s and Men’s Bible Study meet for 10 weeks in the Fall and Spring to engage in an in-depth study of a book of the Bible together. Check here for more information.
Passage exists to see members of Mosaic experience spiritual renewal in their lives through emotional awareness, personal curiosity, vulnerability with God and others, and spiritual practices.
The Forge Program seeks to train men and women in three areas: Christian Story, Christian Belief, and Christian Formation for the purpose of cultivating deeper life with God, life together, and life on mission.
Anyone who is pursuing membership at Mosaic and is seeking to grow as a disciple can participate in a group. For groups to work, participants need to be faithful to their commitment to the group.
Each group decides its location, time, and regularity for meeting (we suggest weekly or every other week). We provide a 16-session curriculum to enable the group to build a solid relational and biblical foundation. After completing the curriculum, we provide open-ended questions to guide members sharing and praying in a way that spur growth in life in Christ, life together, and life on mission.
We ask each group to commit to a year together and to reaffirm this commitment each year going forward.
If you know 2-3 people of the same gender who would like to join a group with you, start one together! If you don’t have these connections yet, sign up here to be paired into a group. Either way, it will be helpful to attend a Group Launch event in the early Fall or Spring to receive basic equipping for Group life.
Group Launch is a mandatory meeting for anyone joining group ministry for the first time, or for the first time in a long time. It is the place where we provide a full explanation of everything relating to groups: what groups are, how they relate to our other ministries, the commitment required for groups, and an explanation of group curriculum. Groups complement other programs at Mosaic like Men’s and Women’s Bible Study, Passage, Arise and Flourish, and Forge. While these other programs are predominantly learning environments, Groups are relational environments. Once a gender-specific group completes their introductory curriculum, we encourage that groups journey through the rest of the programs in the Discipleship Pathway together.
