D Groups are a community of 5-6 men or women seeking to come alongside one another for prayer, accountability, and discipleship. D Groups are an opportunity for the people of Mosaic to cultivate life together by practicing devotion to God’s word and the church (Acts 2:42), and bearing one another’s burdens (Gal. 6:2).
A Gospel Community is a group of 12-15 adults seeking to create a “family of disciple-makers” on mission. Their meeting schedules typically involve a variety of opportunities for eating together, praying together, and participating in local mission together.
Each week when we gather, we want to think strategically about how to create an environment where our children are discipled in the way of Jesus. In each ministry environment, we teach from the Scriptures and help parents proclaim to the next generation who God is and what He has done. Our children, and the children in our city, are not just little minds to keep entertained while the adults worship, but they are current or potential disciples of Jesus.
In light of this, we actively encourage families, at the first moment that children are able, to include their children in the corporate worship of the body as it gathers weekly.
Our current standard is full programming for Mosaic Kids Nursery (birth-2) and Mosaic Kids Preschool (3-Kinder). In these ministries, we focus on weekly lessons that go through the Biblical narrative and connect to one of our four foundational truths (God is Good, Great, Glorious, and Gracious).
We have partial programming for 1st-3rd graders as they sit in on the Sunday gathering with adults for the first portion of it.They are dismissed after our Children’s Moment before the sermon. In this ministry, we focus on the nature and character of God as well as building Bible literacy skills.
For 4th-6th graders, we offer a 10 week Bible Study before service at 9 am in the Fall and Spring. We invite these kids to participate in the corporate gathering with their families. In this ministry, we focus on Bible Study intake and habits within community.
Additionally we provide Family Discipleship Events throughout the year and a regular Family Discipleship Newsletter to help equip parents. Subscribe here.
Children’s Ministry volunteers at Mosaic are required to undergo Ministry Safe training, screening, “on the job” training, and background checks.
We believe that all children are created in the image of God and desire for the Church gathered and scattered to be a place where kids, regardless of ability, are safe, loved, and pointed to Jesus.
