This fall, our men’s and women’s Bible studies, as well as our student ministry, will be walking together through ten different Psalms, exploring a variety of experiences, emotions, and themes found throughout the life of faith.
One of the gifts of the Psalms is that they remind us that following God has never been neat, emotionless, or even one-dimensional. These songs and prayers give voice to joy and praise, but also to grief, confusion, longing, repentance, hope, and the deep desire to draw near to God in every season. They show us that faith is not the absence of struggle, but learning to bring our whole selves before the Lord again and again.
The gospel is the solid foundation we stand on to know that we are fully loved and secure in Christ. At the same time, we carry real burdens, questions, disappointments, and hopes as we navigate everyday life. The Psalms help us learn what it looks like to bring all of those things to God honestly, through worship, lament, gratitude, prayer, and trust. They remind us that God is not intimidated by our humanity. He welcomes us to bring our whole hearts to Him and meets us there with His presence, His truth, and His steadfast love and care.
We also know that Bible study can feel different for different people. Some come eager and familiar with Scripture. Others come feeling uncertain, busy, skeptical, overwhelmed, or simply tired. Wherever you find yourself this fall, there is room for you here. These studies are not about having all the right answers; they are about opening God’s Word together and allowing Him to shape us over time.
Our hope is that these groups become places of genuine connection, places where friendships deepen, burdens are shared, Christ is remembered together, and our hearts are gently drawn back to Him. Whether this is your first Bible study or one of many, we would love for you to join us! You can find registration here.
