Brothers and sisters,
Just weeks ago we gathered to say that Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! That truth still stands, steady and unbreakable. This season after Easter invites us not only to remember that life, but to receive it.
Many of us, though, don’t feel especially alive. We carry tired bodies, full days, quiet disappointments, even fresh grief. The joy of Easter can feel far from the texture of ordinary life.
But this, too, is held by our risen, wounded Savior.
The good news is not that we must feel alive in order to have life, but that Life Himself comes to meet us where we are. The same Jesus who walked through sorrow and death now brings new life and He does not avoid the tender or unfinished places in us. He meets us there.
So this season is not a call to appear bright or put-together. It is an invitation to be renewed.
The cross was not a detour, but the way God works. And when our days feel heavy or plain, we are not outside the story. We are still within it.
May we receive what is given, without forcing what is not.
May small signs of life be enough.
May we trust that new life often begins quietly.
And together, may we be a people where life is not performed, but shared honestly, gently, and with a hope that rests not on our strength, but on His faithfulness.
Christ is risen. And His life is still renewing us.
