I hope you all had a reflective Holy Week and a celebratory Easter weekend! I was reminded of the magnificence of the Lord in many ways throughout the week, especially during our Maundy Thursday service. It is a privilege to commemorate Christ’s command to love one another as he loved us, and a unique joy to do so with all of you.As we gathered at the stations to have water poured over our hands, I couldn’t help but notice the many tiny hands being guided by large hands.
It’s no secret that Mosaic is home to many children. While we share this trait with many churches in the DFW metroplex, I’ve seen something consistently different here: we extend an invitation for our kids to be full participants in every worship service. This invitation is vital to the family discipleship pathway we’re seeking to walk.If you were able to attend our Family Discipleship Pathway training in February, you know that modeling is the heartbeat of discipleship. It’s important that children see their parents loving, submitting to, and worshiping God so they can learn to do the same—tiny hands guided by large hands. Of course, modeling goes far beyond a Sunday service; it happens in each everyday moment and interaction. To help facilitate those moments, we have two great opportunities coming up:
Elementary Mother-Son Night @ TopGolf Dallas
We’ve traded the bowling balls for golf clubs this year! Join us on Friday, April 17th, from 5:30–7:30 PM. Wear your best "Masters Tournament" attire for a night of connection, fun, and food. Come guide those tiny hands on a golf club! Register here.
Family Baptism Class
Yes, we just celebrated a wonderful Sunday of baptisms, but we’re letting the good times roll with another celebration at the end of May! If your child is curious about baptism, please join us for our next class on Sunday, April 26th, immediately following the service (once elementary kids are picked up). Register here.
It is a joy to walk this pathway with you.
