Jesus is Knocking
Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
When we talk about prayer, it’s often focused on thinking about how we can grow in our desire to talk and fellowship with God. But do you know that Jesus actually desires to fellowship and talk with us?
What wonder is this? That Jesus Christ, the Son of God, delights in fellowshipping with us. He wants to be with us so that we might enjoy Him and feast in His presence.
→ Do you truly believe that Jesus loves you and wants to spend time with you?
→ Is there any shame, fear, anxiety, or sin that you feel holds you back from stepping fully into that love?
“Jesus, I can’t believe you want to spend time with me. I know I am not worthy to enjoy fellowship with you, but I know that in your presence I will experience joy, peace, and hope like nowhere else. Would you pull me deeper into enjoying that love?”
Adoration: Praise God that He is determined to dwell with His people.
Confession: Confess the shame, sin, and fear that holds you back.
Thanksgiving: Give thanks that Jesus comes knocking at your door.
Supplication: Ask for a greater experience and taste of the love of God.
